Duterte won over Filipinos with his genuineness and desire for serving them.
According to Trixie Cruz-Angeles, the new secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office, President Rodrigo Duterte has won over the people with his genuineness and dedication to duty.
Angeles claimed in an interview published on Sunday that Duterte is in fact a “beloved President” because of his desire to give the Filipino people the high-quality services they are due.
At the Thanksgiving celebration “Salamat (Thank you), PRRD” held at Quirino Grandstand in Manila, Angeles remarked, “Parating nasa isip niya ang kapakanan ng taumbayan (He always kept the welfare of the general public in mind).
“Kami ‘yung naging deserving ng serbisyo, ramdam na ramdam namin na kaming publiko ang laging nauuna. Finally, we thought that the public had always been the primary priority and was deserving of service. (Naramdaman namin na ati.) We believed that there was a government, she continued.
Throughout his six-year reign, Duterte consistently had strong approval ratings; the most recent of these was the OCTA Research survey, which was conducted from March 5 to 10.
Among all government officials, he got the greatest ratings for both performance and trust, coming in at 67 and 69 percent, respectively.
Angeles claimed that Duterte gave the underprivileged people in society priority.
To the group of mahihirap, “May puso siya.” To the point of the bayan, may puso. He had a heart for the underprivileged, therefore it didn’t matter if you were rich or poor, in the opinion of the speaker. He cares deeply about others. He didn’t care if you were rich or poor because he provided services for all Filipinos, she added.
The 16th president of the nation, who will leave office on June 30, kept his vow to do “everything it takes for the welfare of Filipinos.”
It’s the first time that I can remember that there isn’t any pera in the government for this situation. Hahanap tayo ng pera, Gagawa tayo ng paraan, ang naririnig natin sa kanya. We are aware of how the government functions. It’s the first time you haven’t heard the government say, “We have no funds for that,” regarding its pangako. He has always promised to get the money for that. We’ll take action. We are aware of how the government operates. He actually kept his word),” she continued.
Angeles also praised the “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure initiative, free education, and financial aid for the underprivileged groups.
