The Department of Health (DOH) said on Friday that 95 more instances of the Omicron BA.5 subvariant of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) had been found in the nation.

According to DOH officer-in-charge Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, 65 people have tested positive for the BA.5 subvariant from the Davao Region, 25 from Soccsksargen, and one each from Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the National Capital Region (NCR).

A total of 52 people have received all of their vaccinations, three cases have not, and the immunization status of the remaining 40 people is currently being confirmed, according to the spokesperson.

Their travel history and exposures are still being confirmed.

Currently, 83 people have been classified as recovered, five are still being placed in isolation, and the results of the other seven people are still being confirmed.

18 more BA were also present.

Four cases: two from the Davao Region and five each from Soccskargen.

All seven people were properly immunized and are currently listed as recovered.

Their exposures and travel histories are currently being verified by the DOH.

Additionally, at least two other BA.2.12.1 cases, both from the Davao Region, were found.

They have received all of their shots and are now classified as recovered.

Their exposures and travel records are still being confirmed, though.

As of August 3, all reported instances are based on the most recent genome sequencing findings.

There have been 3,107 BA.5 cases, 104 BA.4 cases, and 174 BA.2.12.1 cases reported in the nation as of this writing.
