Home goods merchant keeps growing their network of stores.

AllHome, the first one-stop, full-line home center in the nation, is accelerating up expansion as it bets on enduring consumer optimism in the post-pandemic scenario.

“In the post-pandemic context, the nation as a whole has successfully displayed and maintained its hope. The steady pandemic alert levels and the rapid rises in foot traffic to malls and commercial areas show that things are returning to normal, according to AllHome chairman Manny B. Villar Jr. in a statement to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Tuesday.

Despite the nation’s current situation, Villar said the company’s performance still shows a noticeable improvement above pre-pandemic levels.

He continued, “(This is) an increasingly evident and heartening sign that things are only going to get better for AllHome.” “Customers are visiting stores again and spending more money, and we fully want to take advantage of this ongoing optimism.”

Its stated net core profit for the first half of 2022 was PHP525 million, which represents a 21 percent improvement above pre-pandemic performance from January to June 2019.

AllHome President and CEO Benjamin Therese Serrano underlined the chain’s continuous commitment to putting its operational initiatives into practice in order to reach the 100-store milestone by 2026.

“Despite the current situation, we remain confident in our ability to carry out AllHome’s expansion strategy. In the first half of 2022 alone, AllHome has already opened five additional sites, with our newest large format store in Davao serving as the highlight, she said.

According to Serrano, basket sizes in AllHome stores are up 5% from the same time last year, showing that customers are still confident in their purchasing power.

Consumers, including those in the upper class, sought space further away from defined centers of activity, putting their sights on rest houses and vacation homes away from the city, which was a striking trend noticed by local think tank Euromonitor during the epidemic.
