For this year’s Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has begun the bidding process for the acquisition of over 22,000 ballot boxes (BSKE).

The polling organization asserted that the sale and issuance of bid documents began on September 7 based on the invitation to bid issued by the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) on Friday.

At the BAC Secretariat Office, Procurement Management Department of the Comelec in Intramuros, Manila, starting at 8 a.m., interested bidders may obtain the paperwork for PHP50,000. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

On September 14 at 10 a.m., the pre-bid conference will be placed online with Microsoft Teams.

The polling organization will require 22,054 units, priced at PHP5,000 each, for a total permitted expenditure of PHP110.27 million.

On or before September 28 at 8 a.m., bids must be properly received by the BAC Secretariat via electronic or online submission.

On September 28 at 10 a.m., the bids will be opened online using Microsoft Teams.
