Seniors’ vaccination rate for NorMin is 74%.
In last week’s “Bayanihan Bakunahan,” the Northern Mindanao region reported a 74 percent vaccination rate for senior citizens.
Dr. Jose Llacuna Jr., director of the Department of Health-Northern Mindanao (Region 10), in an interview on Tuesday, called the accomplishment “very good” given that the goal immunization percentage for seniors for the activity was 90%.
Llacuna stated, “We have been given an extension till October 8 and have pleaded with the people to assist us.
As of September 22, there have been 3,572,854 vaccinations across the region. The DOH continues to target about 1,066,921 people for vaccination.
According to Llacuna, many vaccination recipients were vaccinated last week in this city and the provinces of Camiguin and Misamis Occidental.
He mentioned that some folks are still on the fence about obtaining the vaccine.
He remarked, “We respect the Filipinos’ views, but we ask for everyone’s support in our campaign.”
