On Wednesday, 19 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Bulacan received agricultural lands from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

A total of 10.2583 hectares were covered by the distribution of emancipation patents (EPs) and certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) to qualified ARBs.

The towns of Tibagan, Labne, and Tartaro, which are all located in San Miguel town, as well as Barangay Minuyan in the City of San Jose Del Monte, are where the farms are located.

Geraldine Yumul, the provincial program officer for agrarian reform, stated on Thursday that the chosen ARBs—a group of 17 men and 2 women—were receiving this as a Christmas present.

In an interview, Yumul stated, “We are thrilled to see the cheerful face of the ARBs,” stressing that the change will significantly improve the lives of the province’s farmers.

She advised the recipients to place a value on the DAR-awarded land.

For the benefit of their children’s future, she continued, “We are pushing the ARBs to make their landholdings fruitful and not to sell their properties.”

Additionally, Yumul urged the ARBs to increase their crop production “so they could contribute to the country’s food security and sufficiency.”

On November 16, the DAR also issued EPs and CLOAs to 28 agrarian reform ARBs, totaling 25.5131 hectares in the towns of San Miguel, San Rafael, San Ildefonso, Baliuag, Pulilan, Calumpit, Marilao, Bulakan, and Balagtas.
