Accenture Philippines, a business process management (BPM) company, announced on Tuesday that its Skills to Succeed (S2S) Academy, a skills-development initiative to improve Filipinos’ employability, had benefited around 145,000 students.

The S2S Academy, which was established in 2018, will continue, Accenture Philippines, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda), and their affiliated non-governmental organizations (NGOs) reaffirmed in a press conference.

According to Lito Tayag, country managing director of Accenture Philippines, “Accenture has used digital development and digital innovation to bring impact at scale and help bridge the gap for the job and skills gap for the vulnerable and marginalized sector of our society.”

Tayag claimed that the free online learning program had aided young Filipinos in beginning professions and addressed the industry’s skills deficit.

Accenture Philippines has always placed a strong emphasis on upskilling talent. We think it’s crucial to give Filipino talent the appropriate training through technology-enablement programs like the S2S Academy, he continued.

Emerson Enriquez, manager of Accenture Philippines’ Corporate Citizenship Program, claimed that the majority of students are young adults (18–24 years old) looking for their first job.

Enriquez stated that the S2S Academy also benefited people who wanted to change careers and needed a different skill set.

Over 100 modules in the S2S Academy, which is accessible at https://s2sacademy.com, help people improve their employability and land the jobs they want.

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) has advocated for boosting the human capital of the nation by funding training and education.

This would make it easier for Filipinos to find more reliable, high-quality jobs.
