The Civil Service Commission (CSC), through the Civil Service Institute (CSI), will provide more than 70 leadership, foundational, and human resource management (HRM) courses in 2023 as part of its initiatives to improve public service through continuous learning interventions.

According to a press release from CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles, these courses cover a range of topics related to leadership and human resources, including the Learning and Development (L&D) Programs, Strategic HROD Series, Competency-based HR Program, Public Service Values Program, and CSI Leadership Series.

A certificate of completion with leadership and managerial training hours that can be used to fulfill the training requirement for managerial and supervisory positions in the civil service will be awarded to registered participants who successfully complete these online courses, according to what he said.

“This is a regular CSC program that focuses on learning and development interventions for leaders and other people who are involved in pamahalaan. Mahalak para sa ating mga lingkod bayan na mayroon silang continuous learning, na patuloy na madagdagan ang kanilang kaalaman at mahasa ang kanilang skills na kinakailangan para makapagbigay ng maayos na serbisyo publiko. (This is a part of the regular program of The CSC chair stated that it was crucial for our civil employees to engage in continuous learning, knowledge expansion, and competency development in order to deliver exceptional public service.

The course offerings for this year, he continued, were chosen to assist government workers, such as managers and human resource specialists, in navigating the bureaucratic changes and difficulties presented by serving the public in the post-pandemic environment.

“Siniguro naming ang mga ito ay pertinent at marami pang magaganap na mga pagbabago sa ating mga pamamaraan ng pagtatrabaho dulot ng pandemya, at saan maraming nagaganap, at saan maraming nagaganap na mga pagbabago sa ating Makakaasa ang ating mga lingkod bayan na magiging sulit ang pagdalo nila sa mga trainings ng CSC (We made sure the courses are pertinent or appropriate to the needs of the times, where many things have already occurred and many more changes to workplace policies are anticipated as a result of the pandemic. We reassure our employees that attending the CSC trainings will be beneficial,” Nograles remarked.

The CSC chairman further emphasized that the CSC Regional Offices are providing additional learning and development activities (ROs).

In the meanwhile, interested parties can speak with the CSC RO in question directly about the training programs they provide. On the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph, you may find a list of CSC offices.
