The Davao City Economic Enterprises (CEE) made PHP177.7 million in revenue in 2022, a 26.5 percent increase from the PHP140.4 million they took in the year before.

However, according to CEE officer-in-charge Maximo P. Macalipes Jr., their 2022 collection only reached 88.18 percent of the year’s PHP 201.5 million collection target.

Despite this, he claimed, “we are returning to pre-pandemic circumstances.”

Marketing operations, which accounted for 67.3 percent of total revenue, were still the highest-grossing operations cluster, according to Macalipes.

The eight public markets in the city brought in PHP119.7 million in total, or 106.3 percent of the PHP112.6 million goal.

According to him, the Bankerohan public market continued to generate the most money among all economic enterprise units in 2022, collecting PHP50.9 million, surpassing its PHP40 million target by 127.3 percent.

The city’s 11 public cemeteries operated successfully, bringing in a total of PHP21.6 million, or 64.3 percent of the PHP33.6 million goal.

The CEE’s revenue was also boosted by the slaughterhouse operations in Calinan, Maa, Malagos, and Toril, which collected PHP23.8 million, or 52.7 percent of their PHP45.1 million target.
