According to a report from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) released on Tuesday, the province of Davao del Norte has been named the Region 11 2022 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) Passer.

The province’s remarkable financial management procedures and dedication to transparency, accountability, and good governance were acknowledged by DILG in the report.

Local governments who excel at financial transparency are encouraged to be recognized by the GFH. It is one of the elements of the 2014-introduced DILG Seal of Good Local Governance.

“The entire Davao del Norte team’s dedication and hard work are recognized by this honor. In a statement, Governor Edwin Jubahib stated, “We are dedicated to ensuring the efficient use of public expenditures for the improvement of our community.

Local government units (LGUs) must adhere to accounting and auditing standards regulations and pass a Commission on Audit review in order to receive the GFH honor (COA).

We will continue to give good financial management top priority in our efforts to advance Davao del Norte since it is crucial for sustainable development, Jubahib stated.

The provincial government must also abide by the full disclosure policy, which requires that financial papers be shown in three clearly accessible places as well as on the full disclosure policy webpage.
