Through the airport management’s cooperation with the delivery service platform, GrabFood, passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) who may be impacted by aircraft delays can anticipate speedier delivery of refreshments.

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) revealed the partnership’s signing on April 4 in a Facebook post on Tuesday.

The partnership gave the MIAA access to a GrabForBusiness platform with a variety of food vendors.

According to Hernan Mayhay, head of GrabForBusiness PH, “the portal also gives MIAA a clearer picture of their accounting for transparency and authorized individuals’ strict access.”

Mayhay added that because the MIAA is the only organization that has access to the portal, it is not relevant if the aircraft firms arrange refreshments for the impacted passengers. The cooperation, he continued, “is exclusive to MIAA, hence meeting needs for interruptions not tied to airlines.”

According to Mayhay, MIAA’s own portal can increase the list of eateries that can be used to get access to food and drink supplies right away.

It would be simpler to source food thanks to GrabFood’s extensive rider partner network and diverse merchant assortment, he continued.

Administrators can manage and streamline employee access, payment options, policies, and reporting using the capabilities available on the portal. Also, transactions are documented and published in full detail in real-time via the portal, claims GrabFood.

The relationship with Grab Philippines, according to MIAA general manager Cesar Chiong, is evidence of the management’s commitment to providing better services to its stakeholders.

On the other side, the collaboration, according to Grab Philippines Senior Director for Deliveries Anton Bautista, is an illustration of how digitalization can assist enterprises in improving their services.
