Rep. Paul Daza of Northern Samar’s 1st District said on Tuesday that the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) should upgrade other licensure exams as a result of the Bar examinations’ transition to digital format.

At the same time, he praised the “steadily improving” passing rate of the exam and congratulated the successful November 2022 Bar candidates.

Aside from that, he praised the Supreme Court “for the ongoing reforms implementation, including the digitization of the Bar examinations.”

Daza added in a statement, “I hope that these encouraging developments will motivate the Professional Regulation Commission to accelerate the modernization of other licensure exams.

Daza believes that the nation will continue to create talented professionals as a result of the modernization and digitization of the licensing procedures.

In the past, he requested that the PRC, Commission on Higher Education, and Board of Nursing review “flaws in the licensure framework with its complicated, almost archaic regulations.”

Daza also urged the government to address the issue of the rising lack of Filipino nurses as a result of their decision to work abroad.

Without a doubt, let’s keep raising the bar for Filipino proficiency, but let’s be inclusive at all costs, Daza urged.
