To improve the digital proficiency of Caraga policymakers, DICT training
Using a competency framework for data-driven governance, the Department of Information and Communications Technology in the Caraga Region (DICT-13) provides free ICT training to local and regional officials and civil society organizations.
The course is one of three free online educational programs that DICT-13 is providing as part of National ICT Month 2023, which is being observed in June and has as its subject “Connecting Communities, Enriching Lives, Forging a Digital Future for the Philippines.”
According to a statement released by the DICT-13 on Monday, the program, scheduled for June 19 to 23, “will help the participants to determine, describe, document, and demonstrate the value of the data-driven approach to good governance.”
Through a link on the organization’s Facebook page, interested participants in the area can still register for training.
Participants are encouraged to identify guidelines and standards to plan, build, implement, and operate a data-driven governance management system.
According to DICT-13, “They will also comprehend the digital transformative technologies that provide the essential framework for realizing the objectives of data-driven governance.”
It was said that participants from the public and private sectors are welcome to attend two previous free online training sessions. These include the Java Programming course from June 13 to 23 and the Digital Transformation ICT Project Management course from June 13 to 17.
Those overseeing e-Government initiatives are among the target audience for the ICT Project Management program.
According to the DICT-13, virtual ICT training will help managers and team members “to analyze and document the essential or critical elements that identify a project and adopt principles that determine how the project is directed and controlled.”
Additionally, utilizing established and published practice standards, participants will learn how to identify the legitimate and verifiable result areas of good performance in project management.
