Tuesday’s “Habagat” is expected to bring showers to Luzon.
The southwest monsoon (habagat), strengthened by Tropical Storm Guchol, previously Chedeng, is expected to bring rain showers to all of Luzon on Tuesday, according to the weather service.
Ilocos, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands may all suffer monsoon rainfall. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned that heavy to occasionally strong rains could cause flash floods or landslides.
Flash floods or landslides could be caused by moderate to occasionally strong rains in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Bulacan.
Over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, isolated rain showers brought on by habagat and localized thunderstorms will predominate.
In Northern and Central Luzon, moderate to severe winds and moderate to rough waves are predicted.
According to PAGASA, winds will be light to moderately strong with modest to moderate seas elsewhere.
