Apple, the US-based global tech giant, achieved a major milestone on Friday as its market value surpassed $3 trillion due to a surge in its share prices.

This surge in share prices propelled Apple’s market capitalization to an unprecedented $3.03 trillion.

Notably, this remarkable achievement comes in the face of Apple reporting a decline in total sales for the second consecutive quarter, as revealed in its latest financial results released last month.

For the three months ending April 1, net sales decreased by 2.6 percent to $94.8 billion, compared to almost $97.3 billion during the same period last year.

Despite these challenges, Apple’s shares have been steadily rising in recent weeks, driven in part by the company’s announcement on June 5 of its new Vision Pro headset. This innovative device, described as a “spatial computing” and “mixed reality headset,” seamlessly blends digital content with users’ physical environment.
