Move It, a motorcycle taxi business has collaborated with Grab Philippines (Grab), a service delivery company, to enable users of the Grab mobile application (app) to book motorcycle taxis from both companies.

Move It president and CEO Francis Juan said in a joint statement on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, that Move It and Grab will collaborate on three areas: providing access to Move It motor-taxis on the Grab app, expanding Move It’s market access and availability, and supporting the motor-taxi pilot study by providing more statistics to the Motor-Taxi Technical Working Group (TWG) and the Department of Transportation (DOTr).

“Our clients and riders will always come first, and we are fortunate to have an equal partner in Grab who will work with us to expand access to motorcycle taxi services for more Filipinos,” Juan added.

Beginning Thursday, Move It motor-taxi services will be accessible on the Grab app via the Move It tile, with no extra costs, and will follow the price matrix for the motorcycle taxi pilot.

“We are sure that many Filipinos will profit from this historic collaboration, and we are optimistic that the bike-hailing sector will continue to recover from the effects of the epidemic,” Juan added.

The collaboration is a “hallmark representation of how transportation stakeholders can join together for the common benefit,” according to Grace Vera Cruz, Grab’s national head.

“We hope that many of our kababayans (compatriots) will continue to benefit from our partnership’s many unique advantages so that we may all recover together,” Vera Cruz added.
