Due to an increase of Covid-19 cases, Globe has temporarily closed its outlets.

Globe Telecom Inc. (Globe) announced the temporary closure of multiple locations on Tuesday, citing an increase of Covid-19 cases in the National Capital Region (NCR), neighboring provinces, and other large metropolitan regions.

Some stores will remain open to handle “critical transactions” such as plan application, upgrade, renewal, reactivation, device pick-up, change of ownership, change SIM, device return and replacement, bills payments, GCash cash-ins, and prepaid products, according to a Globe service alert.

“This is being done to guarantee the safety of both customers and store employees,” Globe explained.

Customers were urged to use “Globe EasyHub” digital kiosks in select malls to shop, pay, explore, and get information on how to obtain customer service support, in addition to some stores remaining open.

Ayala Malls Manila Bay, SM Manila, and Robinson’s Place Bacolod City all have these kiosks.

“Customers can also pay to manage their Globe accounts by downloading the revised GlobeOne app for free on Google Playstore and App store,” Globe added.

Customers were also invited to visit its online store or use GCash to pay utility bills, purchase prepaid loads, or shop for necessities in partner retailers.
