According to Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje on Friday, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has increased its daily immunization rate and achieved at least 40% of its target.

The three-day mega immunization drive in Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi provinces, as well as Marawi City, has been extended for two more days through Friday.

According to data from the BARMM’s Ministry of Health, as of November 26, 676,574 people have been inoculated out of a target of 2.9 million, the lowest rate in the country.

For the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” vaccination drive, 340 vaccination centers were set up across the BARMM, with a daily target of 164,304 doses.

According to the website of the region’s Ministry of Health, the number of sites was extended to 570 on Thursday and Friday to accommodate more people.
