DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Senator Joel Villanueva described President Rodrigo Duterte’s reelection endorsement on Wednesday as a morale boost for his campaign in the upcoming 2022 elections.

During a meeting at a hotel in this city on Tuesday night, Villanueva said the President lifted his hands, according to Villanueva.

It was “a huge honor and privilege” for Villanueva to be endorsed, he said.

“That’s a huge boost to our campaign’s morale.” He described the encounter as “humbling.”

Villanueva said he met with the President to congratulate him for signing the ‘Doctor para sa Bayan Law,’ which he wrote, and they also talked about special sessions and other initiatives under his committee.

“I was talking about the executive order he signed on the National Employment Recovery Strategy, which I’d been promoting for a long time when he said I was required in the Senate and urged me to take off my mask.” “After that, he raised my hand,” the senatorial candidate explained.

President Duterte also advised Villanueva to keep doing what he’s doing in the Senate and promote additional job-creating measures for Filipinos, according to Villanueva.

Villanueva assured the President that if re-elected, he will create a further 500,000 employment, bringing the total number of jobs created for Filipinos to 2 million in the following years.

Once re-elected to the Senate, Villanueva indicated he will work to institutionalize the “Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers” (TUPAD).
