Leaders of BBM-Sara in Antique are able to choose any local wager.
Antique SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA. Presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, are free to choose their local candidates for the May 9, 2022 elections in Antique.
“As long as they help BBM-Sara, the people are free to choose anyone they want to serve Antique,” Alvin Rey Montero, regional secretary-general of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), said in an interview on Tuesday.
He went on to say that they convened a conference of their provincial coordinators and leaders to bring the party and its parallel organizations together.
According to Montero, some 300 PFP coordinators and leaders, as well as their parallel groups UniTeam and Kabataan Federal, attended the conference in Antique.
People who wanted to support other local candidates, from congressmen to vice governors in the province, caused division, according to PFP Antique provincial head Angel Capadocia.
“We are supporting the Legarda-Cadiao-Tajanlangit (LCT) for the PFP Antique,” he stated.
The LCT team includes Agapito “AA” Legarda, the younger brother of incumbent Antique Lone District Rep. Loren Legarda, who is competing for congress; re-electionists Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao and Councilor Tobias Fornier; and vice-governor candidate Julius Cezar Tajanlangit.
