MANILA, Philippines — On Saturday, no new cases were reported in Mandaluyong and Pateros in the National Capital Region (NCR), according to the OCTA Research Group.

Dr. Guido David of the OCTA Research Group reported in a tweet that the local government units with the highest new infections in recent days are the capital city of Manila (30), Quezon City (23), Caloocan City (20), Pasay City (18), and Taguig City (14).

As of April 2, the NCR had the most illnesses, with 149 cases, out of the 15 regions or provinces that have registered infections.

Iloilo came in second with 30 cases, followed by Cavite (18), Cebu (16), Rizal (15), Bulacan (14), Pampanga (13), Bataan (12), Laguna (7), Pangasinan (7), South Cotabato (7), Zamboanga del Sur (7), Cagayan (5), Davao del Sur (5), and Benguet (4).

All data was obtained from the Department of Health (DOH) website, according to David.

Guido further stated that the DOH recorded 373 new Covid-19 cases, which was higher than expected (360), 26 deaths, and 1,549 recoveries on Saturday.

There are still 37,115 current infections and a nationwide positivity rate of 2%, which refers to the percentage of people who test positive over a given time period.
