BUTUAN CITY, PHILIPPINES – At least 3,000 jobs will be available at the Labor Day Livelihood Job Fair on May 1, according to the Department of Labor and Employment in the Caraga Region (DOLE-13).

“Of the 3,000 available positions, 916 are for local employment and 2,084 are for abroad employment,” DOLE-13 stated in a statement released Monday.

There will be 38 employers at the employment fair at Robinsons Place, 23 from the Philippines and 15 from other countries.

Sales associates, service drivers, dump truck drivers, manufacturing employees, masons, and other specialized professionals for construction are among the top career opportunities for local job seekers.

“The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will also conduct a Diskwento Caravan on reasonably-priced quality items as part of the Labor Day celebration,” DOLE-13 said.

DTI will also display goods made by the region’s assisted livelihood grantees. The job expo will also feature Kabuhayan items from DOLE-13 livelihood programs, partner groups, and local businesses, according to the agency.

The Philippine Statistics Authority, the National Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Social Security System, the Home Development Mutual Fund, the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, the Professional Regulation Commission, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority are among the government agencies that will be present at the fair.
