Support us even after the elections are over, and help us unify PH: Marcos

GUIMBAL (Ilocos Norte) – With less than a week until the May 9 elections, presidential frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. urged supporters to vote for UniTeam candidates even after the elections to help the country unite.

Marcos addressed his supporters at the “Miting de Avance” for the Visayas, held at the Guimbal Football Field in Barangay Bagumbayan here Tuesday, that they had the country’s future in their hands.

“On Monday, our beautiful Philippines’ future will be in your hands. “What direction, where we will take the Philippines, what we want to be the future of the Filipinos, where we will take the Philippines for the next five years, for the next ten years, for the next twenty years, is in your hands this coming Monday,” he stated.

The UniTeam’s inaugural event was the “Miting de Avance.” On May 5, it will visit the Tagum City Hall grounds in Davao del Norte province for Mindanao, and on May 7, it will visit Paraaque for Luzon.

Even after the elections, people’s support should continue to ensure Filipino unity, according to Marcos.

“Let us put our hands together. Even after the election, even after you’ve decided who will be the next leader. “In our ongoing unity movement, let us not stop here,” the former senator said. “Our dear Philippines still requires your assistance, your love for one another, your ability, diligence, sacrifice, and work to beautify the country.”

Marcos’ running partner, Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte, also urged voters to back the UniTeam’s senatorial ticket in her speech.

“We ask you to vote for UniTeam senators if you vote for UniTeam Marcos and Duterte,” Duterte added. “”Comrades, my name is Sara Duterte, and I’m asking for your help and support in becoming our country’s vice president.”

The Garins, an influential political force in the province led by Iloilo Rep. Janette Garin, Guimbal Mayor Jennifer Garin, Iloilo congressional candidate and former representative Ferjenel Biron, and other local friends, welcomed Marcos, Duterte, and UniTeam senatorial candidates.

Harry Roque, Sherwin Gatchalian, Larry Gadon, Jinggoy Estrada, Juan Miguel Zubiri, Gringo Honasan, Herbert Bautista, Gilbert Teodoro, Loren Legarda, Mark Villar, and Robin Padilla are the UniTeam Senate betting favorites.

Rodante Marcoleta, a former lawmaker, has withdrawn his candidacy.
