The service provider questioned about poll items discovered in an empty lot
MANILA โ The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced on Monday that it has ordered F2 Logistics, its service provider, to explain the polling equipment discovered at an empty lot in Amadeo, Cavite.
“Everything will be thoroughly investigated by the Packing and Shipping Committee, led by Dir. Theddeus Hernan. “Acting spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco announced in a press conference that he has given a direction to F2 Logistics to account for everything.”
F2 Logistics has been hired to deliver all electoral supplies, equipment, and paraphernalia for the May 9 elections.
Meanwhile, Hernan stated that they have spoken with the company’s leadership.
“They definitely need to explain themselves to us.” There are some things they’ll have to clarify to us in their formal report,” he continued.
Commissioner George Garcia of the Comelec told the public that those responsible for the incident would be held accountable once liability was determined.
“There is an agreement. We can always terminate the contract if there is a contract violation and they are unable to fulfill their contractual obligations,” Garcia added.
“We can always prosecute at the same time.” “Keep in mind that an electoral infraction does not have to occur before the election,” he continued.
The voting facility at Jose Rizal Elementary School in Tondo, Manila, was where the election materials were deposited.
F2 Logistics was awarded a PHP535.9 million contract to manage the deployment and return of all election supplies, including vote counting devices, utilized in the May 9 elections.
