The average daily number of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases across the nation increased by 53% between June 20 and June 26, according to a Department of Health (DOH) report released on Monday.

Covid-19 instances increased from 436 per day from June 13 to June 19 to 662 per day from June 20 to June 26.

In the most recent week, there were 51 verified deaths and 4,634 new cases, according to the case bulletin.

The number of severe and critical infections for the same time period increased by 14 instances, from 554 the week before to 591 for the entire period.

Only 391 of the 2,628 beds in the intensive care unit (ICU) are being used, or 14.9%, whereas 4,034 of the 22,251 non-ICU beds are being used, or 18.1%.

Approximately 70,358,612 people, or 78.17 percent of the nation’s target population (90,005,357), have received the Covid-19 vaccination as of this writing, including 77.48 percent of 8,721,357 seniors.

Out of the total 70,358,612 people who have received all of their vaccinations as of June 26, a total of 14,947,878 have received booster doses.
