In spite of the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic, the Commission on Population in Bicol (POPCOM-5) will conduct a family planning and reproductive health promotion activity.

POPCOM-5 revealed in a social media post that free family planning counseling will be provided as part of their National Family Planning Month celebration, which aims to raise awareness of the advantages of raising a well-planned family.

On Friday, counseling and other services will be available at SM City Legazpi from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During a one-on-one consultation, family planning service providers will instruct couples on the methods that best suit their families.

After counseling, free pills, condoms, and injectables will be provided, among other items.

Call the POPCOM Helpline at 0933-115-0431 (Sun), 0949-481-5018 (Smart), and 0995-967-5127 to register (Globe).

The Department of Health (DOH) will launch the “Pinaslakas” mass Covid-19 vaccination campaign at Ayala Malls Legazpi on Friday as well.

Similarly, the agency will host the Baby Momma Family Fair from August 18-20, during which mothers will breastfeed simultaneously.
