In September, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will go to Singapore and Indonesia on official business, Malacanang stated on Friday.

In a virtual press conference, press secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said that Marcos would travel to Singapore from September 6 to 7 after visiting Indonesia from September 4 to 6.

We don’t have any extra information, but we are confirming that [his state visits] would proceed, said Cruz-Angeles. “Wala pa tayong masyadong detalye, but kinu-confirm po namin na tuloy ito.”

Upon the invitation of the ruler of the host nation, a head of state travels on a state visit.

Cruz-Angeles said that Marcos had accepted US President Joe Biden’s invitation to travel to Washington.

According to Cruz-Angeles, no date has yet been established for a visit to the US.

“Although the President has stated that he will be traveling, the details of his visit to the US are still being worked out.” Therefore, we will update you when more information becomes available.

Marcos accepted the offer to travel to China from the Chinese authorities in July.
