Nearly a year after the Canadian Armed Forces’ forced vaccination policy went into effect, 299 military members in Canada who refused to receive the Covid-19 vaccine have been expelled, according to Canadian broadcaster CTV News.

Military personnel was subject to a mandate announced in October 2021 by the government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau demanding that they obtain two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Armed forces personnel were immune from the decision, but it was halted in June this year.

108 Regular Forces troops sought to leave voluntarily as of September 13 of this year, the report stated, citing the forced vaccination policy as the primary justification. This brings the total number of military people out to 299.

The government’s decision to force vaccination was halted in June. It was noticed that federal public employees who were anti-vaccine and used their leave privileges afterward began to return to their jobs.

According to an announcement from the Canadian Ministry of National Defense, the two-dose Covid-19 vaccination mandate will still apply to both military and civilian employees serving in the armed forces.

The introduction of vaccination programs in Canada was opposed by some citizens of the nation, which also sparked widespread protests. However, the Covid-19 vaccination was administered twice to 82% of the nation’s population.

On October 1, 2022, the Covid-19 procedures for travelers entering the country by land, sea, and air will be eliminated.

Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos declared that regulations, including the need for two-dose vaccination certificates at border crossings, the obligation to use the ArriveCAN app, and the requirement to wear a mask on trains and airplanes, will all expire on October 1.

The requirement for persons entering Canada to submit to Covid testing and quarantine before arrival or at the destination has also been terminated due to the judgment.
