NDRRMC Facebook page hack investigation is ongoing: OCD
A repeat of the hacking of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s official Facebook page is being avoided, according to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) (NDRRMC).
The OCD stated that the NDRRMC’s official Facebook page was hacked at “about 3 p.m.” on Tuesday in a post on the social media platform on Tuesday night.
It further stated that preparations had been made to retrieve the account and look into the situation.
The OCD stated that it “upholds data privacy and security, together with the wellbeing of the members of the NDRRMC.”
The agency, however, withheld specifics about the incident’s circumstances and other information.
“We sincerely regret any trouble or confusion this event may have caused the general public and other interested parties. Rest assured that steps have been taken to prevent a repeat of this incident. I appreciate your cooperation, “the OCD further.
