📰 MANILA – The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) achieved full awards for Treasury bills during a successful auction on Tuesday.

The 91-, 182-, and 364-day T-bills secured average rates of 5.611 percent, 5.823 percent, and 6.184 percent, respectively. These rates were notably lower than the 5.884 percent, 6.095 percent, and 6.226 percent average rates of the 91-, 182-, and 364-day T-bills observed last week.

The auction garnered significant interest, with total bids amounting to PHP66.7 billion, making it 4.4 times oversubscribed.

“The Committee’s decision led to the full program of PHP15.0 billion being awarded during the auction,” the BTr announced.

Investors’ enthusiasm for the T-bill auction reflects confidence in the Philippine government’s ability to manage its finances and meet its obligations. The lower average rates indicate increased investor appetite for these short-term government securities. This successful auction further strengthens the government’s fiscal position and supports its financing needs. 💵📈
