This week, 28 more Kadiwa locations will open.
As the government steps up efforts to give local consumers high-quality but affordable essential necessities throughout the holiday season and farmers and fishermen additional earnings, at least 28 more Kadiwa outlets will open the following week.
Following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s simultaneous statewide debut of the “Kadiwa ng Pasko” project in Mandaluyong City last week, a number of Kadiwa stores opened at various places throughout Metro Manila on Friday.
The Kadiwa outlets in Caloocan City’s South City Hall, Quezon City’s VMMC Kadiwa Store and ADC Kadiwa Store-DA Central Office, Paranaque City’s Bgy. San Antonio and City Hall, Pasig City’s Petron Station-San Joaquin, Mandaluyong City’s Farmers Collectives, The Podium, California Gardens Plaza, Las Pias City’s Shepherd Parish Manuela Pamplo (Liwasang Bayan).
The Kadiwa Store at the Caloocan City Hall C-Cube Complex in Caloocan City is accessible to the general public from 7 am to 4 pm.
City officials urged citizens to benefit from the Kadiwa ng Pasko shops, which provide less expensive yet high-quality goods.
Last week’s debut saw the simultaneous opening of 14 venues around the nation, including 11 in the National Capital Region, one each in Tacloban City, Davao De Oro, and Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The Caloocan City government has meanwhile urged citizens to benefit from the Kadiwa ng Pasko shops that provide affordable yet high-quality goods.
On Friday, Caloocan City employees and citizens can purchase more affordable commodities at the C-Cube Complex of the city hall, such as rice for PHP25 per kg. Rice can only be purchased in increments of 4 kilograms per customer.
Sugar is also available for PHP70 per kg, which is significantly less expensive than the prices in open-air markets, grocers’ stores, and supermarkets.
In addition to rice, sugar, and other needs, Kadiwa stores offer reasonably priced house decorations as well as seasonal gift suggestions.
On November 16, the President oversaw the opening of Kadiwa ng Pasko stores simultaneously around the nation in preparation for the holiday shopping season.
The project aims to assist Filipino business owners in selling their wares directly to customers and to fulfill Marcos’ election campaign pledge to lower the cost of rice to PHP 20 per kg.
