The Supreme Court announced on Wednesday that it has linked up with online payment systems for paying court fees through its Judiciary ePayment System (JePS), which is already in use in all first-level courts and 44 second-level pilot courts.

In a statement, the tribunal said that it had made a deal with UnionBank of the Philippines to add GCash and GrabPay as payment options for JePS.

The JePS lets the Judiciary charge and collects legal fees and other fees through major banks and digital wallets. This means that litigants, lawyers, and people who need clearances, certifications, and other services from the courts can pay online.

At https://epayment.judiciary.gov.ph/, litigants can get to the JePS platform. Users just need to click the “Go to Assessment Calculator” button and fill in the necessary information.

Users will be taken to the Payment Options page, where they can choose their preferred payment method from UnionBank online, FortunePay, GCash, GrabPay, InstaPay, and PesoNet.

After payment has been made, an official electronic receipt is made that can be downloaded and printed.

The goal of the JePS is to make it easier to figure out and pay court fees, make it easier for the public to get access to judicial services, increase transparency and accountability, and give the Supreme Court good accounting and auditing tools.
