With 17 new cases, NCR records its lowest Covid total since March 2020.

As of February 5th, there have been 17 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the National Capital Region (NCR), which is the fewest since March 20, 2020.

“Since March 20, 2020, this is the lowest the NCR has seen. Dr. Guido David, an OCTA Research Group fellow, tweeted on Monday that the 7-day average dropped to 46 instances per day.

David reported that because testing remained low at 35 tests per day per 100,000 people as of February 4, the region’s weekly positivity rate fell to 1.7 percent.

As of February 5, the countrywide optimism rate has further dropped to 1.8%.

After 36 new cases, 12 fatalities, 217 recoveries, and 9,378 active cases nationwide, the nation recorded these events.
