22 flights were canceled after Signal No. 1 was lifted in several areas of Luzon.

Due to Typhoon Betty, Batanes is still under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 and could continue to endure gale-force gusts.

The northeastern parts of Isabela (Santa Maria, San Pablo, Divilacan, Maconacon, Palanan, and Cabagan), Apayao, and Cagayan, including the Babuyan Islands, remain under TCWS No. 1, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)’s 11 a.m. bulletin on Wednesday.

Strong gusts that are almost gale-force may still be present in these regions.

Since Betty is still leaving the nation, Signal No. 1 has been turned off in several Luzon locations.

Betty kept up its power, packing gusts up to 150 kph and maximum sustained winds of 120 kph around the center. It was last located 375 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes, and is currently traveling northeast at 10 kph.

Betty is expected to strengthen the southwest monsoon, resulting in sporadic to regular wind gusts over the Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Aurora, Quezon, the northern part of mainland Palawan, including the Calamian and Cuyo Islands, Mindoro provinces, Romblon, Ilocos Region, and Cordillera Administrative Region that are not under any TCWS.

Over Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Antique, and the northern part of mainland Palawan, including Calamian and Cuyo Islands, heavy rainfall is anticipated due to the strengthened southwest monsoon.
