GSIS Touch, the agency’s smartphone app, allows government employees and retirees to verify their information with the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).

GSIS executive vice president for support services Dionisio Ebdane Jr. said the app, which was developed by the state-owned insurance firm, will allow members and pensioners to check membership information as well as details of their loans, benefits, pensions, and the agency’s products and services during the Laging Handa briefing aired on PTV-4 on Monday.

Members can also apply for loans through the app, according to Ebdane.

“Napakahalaga po ito, (Presidential Communications Operations Office) Undersecretary Rocky (Ignacio), kasi bago nila ma-avail ang kanilang benepisyo at saka services po sa GSIS as we offer to them, dapat po maayos iyong kanilang record,” said Ignacio. So, dito sa kanilang telepono, kitang-kita nila kung updated ba ang records nila (This is vital, Usec. Rocky, since they must have orderly records before they can take advantage of any GSIS perks or services.) They can use the app to see if their records have been updated),” he explained.

Pensioners can also use the app to schedule their Annual Pensioners Information Revalidation (APIR), according to Ebdane.

GSIS members must have a registered email address before downloading the program for Android or Apple IOS, according to him.

After downloading the program, Ebdane explained that a GSIS member must enter a password in order to use it fully.

He noted that if members have any problems installing the software, they can call GSIS’ 24/7 hotline, 847-47-47, for assistance or watch the tutorial video on YouTube.
