‘Amihan’ is expected to provide rain to northern Luzon.
Due to the northeast monsoon, or “amihan,” cloudy skies with rain will prevail in northern Luzon on Saturday, with moderate to high winds.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) predicted it will be cloudy and wet in the Babuyan Islands and Batanes in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin.
Partly overcast to the cloudy sky will prevail in the Ilocos and Cordillera areas, as well as the rest of the Cagayan Valley, with isolated light rain showers.
Due to the easterlies, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to the cloudy sky with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Winds will be moderate to strong in northern Luzon, blowing northeast, with moderate to turbulent coastal waters.
Winds will be similar in strength and direction in Central Luzon and the eastern regions of Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao, with moderate to rough coastal waves.
For the rest of the country, winds will be light to moderate, blowing northeast to north, with modest to moderate coastal waters.
Metro Manila will have a temperature range of 21°C to 30°C; Baguio City will have a temperature range of 13°C to 22°C; Puerto Princesa City will have a temperature range of 25°C to 31°C; Metro Cebu will have a temperature range of 24°C to 30°C, and Metro Davao will have a temperature range of 25°C to 33°C.
