In the wake of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic, PLDT Enterprise has teamed with Philippine Business Bank (PBB) to support the latter’s operations.

PLDT Enterprise said in a statement that it is supporting PBB’s telecommunication needs, allowing the bank to continue operating despite the pandemic.

“I believe one of the things we did correctly was to cooperate with PLDT Enterprise. PBB President and Chief Executive Officer Rolando R. Avante remarked, “That cooperation has insured us as to the continuity, connectivity, and most importantly, the reliability in being able to comply with our Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).”

“What’s crucial at this pivotal change is that we’re getting a bigger percentage of connectivity.” It has climbed to as high as 95-97 percent in our experience, which is critical for all of our branches’ transaction processing. It allows our clients to use the bank’s goods and services on a regular basis,” Mr. Avante explained.

PLDT Enterprise has launched its Unbreakable Commitment campaign, which promotes its collaborations with a variety of organizations in the Philippines.

The initiative is also part of PLDT Enterprises’ commitment to empowering businesses through digital transformation and technology.

Through the Philippine Star Group, which it controls, Hastings Holdings, Inc., a unit of PLDT Beneficial Trust Fund subsidiary MediaQuest Holdings, Inc., owns a majority position in BusinessWorld.
