The National Capital Region (NCR) is now classified as “high risk” for Covid-19, down from a “serious outbreak” last week, according to the OCTA Research Group.
Guido David of the OCTA Research Fellow Group tweeted Wednesday, “Expecting NCR to be at moderate danger next week.”
According to Covidactnow, NCR’s seven-day average cases for January 19 to 25 were 6,280, down from 15,782 the prior week.
It currently has a 44 percent daily attack rate and a 24 percent seven-day positive rate.
The percentage of Covid-19 tests that were positive in a given area or region is known as the positivity rate.
Meanwhile, the region’s reproduction number, or the number of people a Covid-19 sufferer may infect, has dropped to 0.71 from 2.06 last week.
The region’s healthcare use rate has dropped to 48 percent.
