Skin Station and Chemworld Fragrance Factory in the Philippines have teamed with certain people’s groups from Bugallon, Aguilar, and this town to create “ylang-ylang” essential oils that might be utilized in perfumes, soaps, and other cosmetic goods.

On Monday, Pangasinan League of Municipalities president Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil stated an extraction facility had already been set up for this project in Barangay Bueno here, according to the Network Briefing News carried by the Philippine Information Agency Pangasinan.

“This is to restore our country’s prestige as the world’s leading producer of ylang-ylang essential oil while also providing a source of income for the people,” he said.

The ylang-ylang flowers for the facility were provided by people’s organizations, according to Bataoil.

“We also encouraged them to grow more trees so they could produce and sell more blooms,” he explained.

Planting ylang-ylang trees, according to Bataoil, could help reduce climate change, particularly in the denuded mountains of Pangasinan’s second district.

Last December 11, the extraction facility was officially opened. It has the capacity to process 350 kg of ylang-ylang flowers each day.

The golden blossom of the Cananga tree, ylang-ylang, could be sold for PHP60 per kg and used to make beauty items, soaps, and fragrances.
