In a briefer on the internet. Three of the discharged patients were from the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) and one from a Covid-19 facility in San Simon village, which is also under the supervision of NMMC, according to Dr. Ted Yu Jr, municipal health office (CHO) medical officer.
The remaining 140 patients were discharged from various hospitals.
Yu stated that the number of Covid-19 cases hospitalized to hospitals dropped from 786 to 642 as a result of the large single-day recovery of patients.
“The discharging procedure has been quick in the different hospitals because the majority of the instances are minor,” Yu explained.
Mayor Oscar Moreno praised the hospitals’ efforts and expressed optimism that the decrease in admitted patients would have a significant influence on the city’s total bed usage rate for Covid-19 cases.
“It’s encouraging to learn that the total number of admitted (Covid-19 cases) has decreased significantly, particularly in hospitals where the majority of cases are mild to moderate. He expressed his delight at the news.
