The BG party-list supports the ‘Build, Build, Build’ program’s continuation.

CEBU CITY, Philippines – The Bisaya Gyud Party’s list 108 declared on Monday that it will ensure that the government’s “Build, Build, Build” initiative is continued once President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s term ends.

Alelee Aguilar-Andanar, the party’s first nominee, said there is a need to do so since it will create more economic prospects for Filipinos in an interview with CNN Philippines.

“We support President Obama’s ‘Build, Build, Build’ program because we believe it will create more jobs.” We can supply food sa bawat tahanan (in every household) if we can provide work,” she remarked.

The BG Party-list is Duterte’s only and first endorsed party-list with a strong focus on food, shelter, education, and security.

“We, the BG Party-list, wish to maintain all of the Duterte administration’s programs, services, and legacies.” If we are elected to Congress, I will work to pass legislation that would strengthen the President’s programs and services,” Andanar stated.

Keeping the initiatives going “will advocate the ‘tapang at malasakit’ brand of public service by prioritizing legislation that will help uplift the life of every Filipino, especially the Bisaya,” she said.

She also explained how the BG Party-list 108 began as an advocacy group in November 2019 with the goal of offering aid and assistance to all Bisaya. They were also among the first to help victims of Typhoon Odette on the islands of Siargao.

They decided to run for Congress in order to help less fortunate Filipinos in Visayas and Mindanao.

“Madalas kaming bumisita sa lugar ng mister kong si Sec. Martin, sa Mindanao at sa Siargao kung saan siya lumaki,” she said. Ang pagkakaiba at agwat ng estado sa buhay ng mga Bisaya kumpara sa mga nasa Metro Manila at urbanized cities, nakita ko ang pagkakaiba at agwat ng estado sa buhay ng mga Bisaya kumpara sa mga nasa Metro Manila at urbanized cities. Ito ang nagmulat sa akin na kailangan nila ng tulong (We frequently visited my husband Sec. Martin’s hometown in Mindanao, particularly in Siargao, where he grew up.) I saw a difference and a gap in Visayans’ manner of life as compared to those in Metro Manila and other metropolitan areas. “This made me know they needed assistance,” she explained.
