MANILA – From May 16 to 31, Metro Manila and 85 other areas will stay under the lowest Alert Level 1 designation, according to Malacanang.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) accepted the new categorization on Saturday, according to acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar.

The following provinces, highly urbanized cities (HUCs), and independent component cities (ICCs) were also placed on Alert Level 1 during the same time period:

For Luzon, the Cordillera Administrative Region includes Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Baguio City; Region 1 includes Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, and Dagupan City; Region 2 includes Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and City of Santiago; Region 3 includes Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Eci

For the Visayas, Regions 6 and 7 are Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Bacolod City, and Iloilo City; Region 8 is Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Ormoc City, and Tacloban City; and Region 9 is Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Ormoc City, and Tacloban City.

For Mindanao, Region 9 includes Zamboanga City; Region 10 includes Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City, and Iligan City; Region 11 includes Davao City; and Caraga includes Surigao del Sur and Butuan City.

Without prejudice to those component cities and municipalities already under Alert Level 1 as a result of IATF Resolutions No. 165-G, 166-A, 167-A, and 167-C (s. 2022), the following component cities and municipalities will be placed under Alert Level 1:

In the Cordillera, Kiangan, Ifugao; and in the Bicol Region, Balud, Masbate, and Irosin, Sorsogon.

In Muslim Mindanao, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur; and Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay in Zamboanga Peninsula; Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat in Sultan Kudarat; and Upi, Maguindanao in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region

Meanwhile, from May 16 to May 31, the following provinces, HUCs, and ICCs will be placed on Alert Level 2 without regard to their constituent cities and municipalities, which may be on a different Alert Level classification:

For Luzon, the Cordillera includes Benguet and Ifugao; Calabarzon includes Quezon Province; Mimaropa includes Occidental Mindoro and Palawan; and Bicol includes Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate, and Sorsogon.

For the Visayas, Western Visayas include Antique and Negros Occidental; Central Visayas include Bohol, Cebu Province, and Negros Oriental; and Eastern Visayas include Leyte, Northern Samar, and Western Samar.

For Mindanao, see Isabela City, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, and Zamboanga Sibugay in the Zamboanga Peninsula; Lanao del Norte in Northern Mindanao; Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental in the Davao Region; General Santos City, North Cotaba

Not otherwise altered by this Resolution, component city and municipality Alert Level designations under IATF Resolution Nos. 165-G, 166-A, 167-A, and 167-C (s. 2022) will remain in effect until May 31, 2022.
