Experts say collaboration is crucial to thriving in the “new normal.”
MANILA โ Cooperation among different business entities, as well as within an organization, is one of the keys to thriving despite the Covid-19 pandemic and the “new normal,” according to two technology experts on Tuesday.
Don Rae, the senior advisor for Globe Business, observed that meal delivery apps have been in high demand since the outbreak began, citing his observations. The service, on the other hand, is a joint effort between the app and the restaurant.
“There is no restaurant in the app. A restaurant, for example, does not have an app. If there’s one thing the pandemic taught us, it’s the need for teamwork “In a press conference, he stated.
This demonstrates how diverse organizations or industries may collaborate for mutual benefit, which benefits not just them but also their customers.
The pandemic, according to Rae, has let people recognize what is conceivable and potential.
According to him, chief executive officers have come to various realizations as a result of the pandemic’s impact on enterprises.
“Moving forward is difficult, but not moving forward is far scarier,” Rae emphasized.
This is why, he continued, technological evolution and revolution must be present in every industry.
Swan Sit, a former Nike global head of digital marketing who now runs the social audio app Clubhouse, believes that innovation is everyone’s responsibility.
Swan believes that businesses should encourage employees to share their ideas and provide rewards for doing so. Instead of being afraid of failing, everyone should be encouraged to share their unique ideas.
According to her views, the future generation appears to be the ones who will be on top of the game.
“They are really knowledgeable in this field (technical stuff). Nowadays, children can handle the iPad faster than you can “she said.
Swan also stressed the importance of remembering that being “first” does not always imply being “most important.”
Swan and Rae were among the speakers at the Taguig City Enterprise Innovation Forum.
The forum’s theme was “Techography: Charting Our Greater Shared Future,” and around 350 people from various businesses attended.
Experts discussed several technological themes, including 5G, edge computing, Cloud, data resiliency, and cybersecurity.
