An IT and NegOcc language campus will debut in 2023.

Next year, Talisay City will host the opening of the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) Global Campus, which will teach more college freshmen and unemployed youths to work in the business process outsourcing (BPO) and related industries.

NOLITC’s vocational school administrator, Ma. Cristina Orbecido, stated on Friday that while engineering work is still being done, they are planning activities to introduce the industry partners to the new campus in Barangay Matab-ang.

Among them is a tree-growing event that took place on Thursday to close out the 30th Provincial Environment Month in June. Participants from at least six BPO firms planted molave and narra tree seedlings at the location.

Orbecido stated, “We encourage our partners to participate in NOLITC’s environmental effort.

Growing trees on the new NOLITC site is an element of the facility’s aesthetic and environmental features that make it favorable to learning, according to provincial administrator Rayfrando Diaz II.

“When we start out right, we also stand and develop right. I think NOLITC is up to the task of developing morally upright and capable students,” he continued.

The NOLITC Global Campus “will be completely functioning by next year,” according to Governor Eugenio Jose.

The facility, the first of its kind in the province, will provide specialized training to meet the needs of highly skilled and competitive people seeking employment both domestically and internationally.

The 2.5 hectares of donated land are being used to construct the NOLITC Global Campus, which has a project cost of PHP135 million.

The now-13-year-old educational institution is currently based here in the Paglaum Sports Complex, where it also holds classes.

The first and only government-run language and IT school in Western Visayas are NOLITC, which has received accreditation from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Call center training, English language competence, 2D animation, visual graphic design, digital literacy, software development, and medical billing and coding are among the subjects it has been delivering courses in.
