MANILA – On Saturday, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will begin distributing election equipment and supplies.

“Loading of the trucks that will transport AES (Automated Election System) equipment and supplies to various places across the country.” As a result, we’re starting the loading process right now. We expect it to be finished by about 12 a.m. tonight (Friday). In a press conference, Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said, “And then we’ll dispatch the trucks.”

Political parties, stakeholders, and members of the media are all welcome to attend, he said.

“The chairman of the Comelec, Saidamen Pangarungan, has invited everyone to watch the sealing of these trucks so that you may see how we do it.” So there’s the beginning of dispatching, and after that, we’ll keep dispatching our AES, and paraphernalia will continue in the first week of April till it’s delivered to all locations across the country,” he continued.

On Friday, the polling organization and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) signed a memorandum of understanding for online services in the May 9, 2022 elections.

In a ceremony at the Okada Hotel in Paranaque City, Pangarungan and DICT Acting Secretary Emmanuel Rey Caintic signed the deal.

The DICT will host the Voter Registration Status Verifier as part of the agreement, which will answer questions about voter registration status.

This includes precinct locator tools, which allow local and international voters to check whether their registration records are active and whether they are eligible to vote on Election Day.

The DICT will host the online voter certification application, which will allow registered voters to request voter certification and pay the money online, as well as the election results website, which will allow the general public to view the poll results.
