Former Manila archbishop Rosales is hospitalized and in good health.
In stable condition, retired Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales is the archbishop of Manila.
The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) news website said on Thursday that the cardinal was pictured in a Metro Manila hospital in a social media post by Fr. Reginald Malicdem, spokesperson for the Archdiocese of Manila.
“I recently went to Cardinal Dency. His status is steady, say the medical professionals. Just a few more days of monitoring are required for him to remain in the hospital. Malicdem, a former Rosales private secretary who worked for him, continued, “We continue to pray for him.
It also stated that Malicdem made the remarks in response to social media posts asking for prayers for the 90-year-old cardinal’s wellbeing.
According to reports, the former archbishop of Manila has been in the hospital since January 6.
Rosales worked for the archdiocese between 2003 and 2011 when he decided to resign.
