During Holy Week, Manila suspends the Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
In order to accommodate the celebration of Holy Week, the city government of Manila will halt immunization against coronavirus illness 2019 (Covid-19).
The vaccination program would suspend starting in the afternoon of Holy Wednesday until the Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) holiday on April 10, according to lawyer Princes Abante, a spokesperson for Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan.
She informed reporters on Tuesday, “Vaccination will commence on Tuesday, April 11.”
44 health centers in the city serve as immunization locations.
For residents of Manila, there are two vaccination brands available: Sinovac, made in China, for adults, and Pfizer, developed in the US, for children between the ages of 5 and 11.
