Trump was held responsible for sexual assault and defamation cases.
According to CNN, a jury in this city found that former US President Donald Trump had sexually assaulted author E. Jean Carroll in a changing room at a high-end department store in 1996.
Additionally, Carroll received a $5 million judgment against the former US president for violence and defamation.
The TV station claims that despite the jury’s finding that Trump had touched the woman against her will and slandered her, they rejected the writer’s rape complaint.
A total of $5 million was given to her by the jury, including $2 million for sexual abuse and $3 million for defamation.
Like any defendant in a civil lawsuit, the former president was not present when the decision was made.
