The PCOO has been required to cover all of Duterte’s events

A short explanation has been provided by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) in response to accusations that government resources are being utilized to conceal President Rodrigo Duterte’s activities in the Philippines.

On Sunday, PCOO Undersecretary Lorraine Marie T. Badoy stated, “It is our responsibility to cover all occasions at which the President of the Republic blesses us with his presence.”

In response to Bayan Muna Party-list Representative Carlos Isagani Zarate’s claim that broadcasting the President’s meeting with officials of the ruling party, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban), on July 6, was a “unabashed display of impunity using government time and resources for clearly partisan political activity,” Badoy said, “It is time for the government to step up and do the right thing.”

The PDP-Laban meeting was broadcast live on the People’s Television Network on July 7, and it was also covered by other government-run news sources and social media accounts.

It is critical, according to Badoy, to cover all of President Duterte’s activities, adding that the PCOO is proud of Duterte’s status as “the most visible president” in the country’s history.

She pointed out that the fact that all of Duterte’s activities were broadcasted contributed to his strong trust and approval ratings.

In addition, his extraordinary trust and approval ratings, which can only be described as the envy of global leaders, have elevated him to the position of most trusted public worker in his government.” Because they are familiar with him, the Filipinos have faith in him. And they are aware of him because the PCOO monitors his every move and every word so that we are aware of who he is and what he stands for,” she said.

President Rodrigo Duterte’s “political personality,” according to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, could not be separated from his formal responsibilities as the country’s top executive. Duterte is also the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party-Laban.

“However, I’m not sure what the problem is that you’re referring to, but I’m wondering what you’re talking about when you say political activities” (I will leave to you the issue of partisan activities that you are saying). However, the President has always served as chairman of the PDP-Laban, and there is no way to divorce the President’s political personality from his official duties since he was duly elected by the people, according to Roque at a press conference on Tuesday.

A demand for Duterte to run for vice president in 2022 was reiterated at the meeting by members of the PDP-Laban political party.

Duterte said that he is “seriously considering” doing so.

The relationship between Zarate and the NPA

Badoy, who is also a spokesman for the government’s anti-insurgency task force, blasted Zarate for accusing the PCOO of participating in activities in which Bayan Muna members themselves are “experts.” Zarate has denied the allegations.

According to her, “What Zarate accuses the PCOO of is something that the NPA (New People’s Army Bloc) is not only guilty of, but also an expert in — the brazen mismanagement and abuse of government resources in order to undermine and weaken the government while causing great suffering and pain to our people.”

Badoy also believes that the Makabayan alliance, which she refers to as the National Democratic Party (NPA) group, would be able to achieve trust and approval ratings on par with Duterte’s.

Will the Filipino people give them their trust and approval as they did our President if the media follows (Communist Party of the Philippines founder) Jose Maria Sison’s loyal minions around — Zarate, (Bayan Muna’s Ferdinand) Gaite, (Eufemia) Cullomat, (Sara) Elago, (Arlene) Brosas of Gabriela, and (France) Castro of ACT — will they give them their trust and approval as they did our “There’s no way,” she replied.

And, according to Badoy, the PCOO would continue its efforts so that Filipino voters are aware of how the CPP/NPA/National Democratic Front (NDF) agents in Congress have allowed the most heinous atrocities against Indigenous Peoples (IPUs), the poor, and children.

In a statement, she stated, “We are working nonstop to ensure that the shadow of terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF will never again fall over the halls of Congress and that we will have completely cleansed ourselves of the poisonous presence of communist terrorism by 2022.”
