PUV drivers now have quicker access to booster vaccinations, thanks to the municipal government of Manila’s opening of a drive-thru vaccination center at the Bagong Ospital ng Maynila.

PUV drivers can bring their family members who are eligible for booster injections from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, with a daily capacity of 1,000.

Vaccines from all brands will be accessible.

The new jabs site was inaugurated by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan near Mabini St, directly beside the Manila Zoo.

“It’s for jeepney, pedicab, sidecar boys, tricycle, taxi, and delivery van drivers, so merong space para sa kanila kasi hanggat maaari, iniiwasan kong mabalam yung hanapbuhay nila (This is for jeepney, pedicab, sidecar boys, tricycle, taxi, and delivery van drivers. In order to avoid disrupting their livelihood, this is the space for them),” Domagoso said in an interview.

In 44 health clinics, three malls, and six community sites in schools, the city government delivers the first and second doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The local government recently expanded its drive-thru booster immunization facility for motorcycle and bicycle riders near city hall, while vaccination for passengers of four-wheel vehicles is available at the Quirino Grandstand 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

All sites require the QR (quick response) code obtained from the manilacovid19vaccine.ph registration as well as a valid identity (ID) document.

Minors between the ages of 12 and 17 are allowed to bring only one direct relative and a valid ID verifying their relationship.

A birth or baptismal certificate, as well as an ID, is required for the child, while those with comorbidities should provide a medical certificate.

As of Sunday, the local administration had vaccinated 1,654,475 people and given 262,079 booster injections.
